The exhibition "Imaginary Journeys" was curated by the renowned Paola Trevisan and represented a unique opportunity to showcase some of the best contemporary work from artists around the world.
It was held at within an old castle in the city centre of Ferrara. Estense Castle is a major landmark in Ferrara, an intellectual and artistic centre that attracted the greatest minds of the Italian Renaissance in the 15th and 16th centuries and is about one hour from Venice in the north of Italy.
"It was a great honour to be part of an international show of this calibre and to have the opportunity to represent Australia in a more global artistic environment. It was also a wonderful opportunity to network with other artists and view their work and unique influences".
"I also spent some study time at some of the Italian galleries in Florence and Venice. My work has always been immensley influenced by that of the old masters and I enjoyed spending some creative time of my own whilst there".
